Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas)
The Green Sea Turtle can grow to be between 60 and 140 cm in length and weigh as much as 185 kg. Females are typically larger than males. These turtles can live for up to 40 to 50 years and become sexually mature between the ages of 10 to 15. Green Sea Turtles mostly live alone, except during the breeding season. When they are young, they eat mostly meat, but as adults, they consume mainly plants.
