The Program

To reach the Elphinstone Reef, we will start with our speedboat from the Hermes Harbor, which is about 35 km south of Marsa Alam Airport. After about a 20-minute ride, we will reach the reef where we will have 2 dives with a surface interval of one hour. The reef is known for frequent shark sightings and the intact, colorful coral reef, making it a must-see for any experienced diver. We depart from the harbor at approximately 6:15 am and return around 11:00 am.

Requirements include at least AOWD/OWD+DEEP/AA certification and 50 logged dives.

Elphinstone Reef

The Elphinstone Reef is a fascinating destination that thrills divers with its diverse marine species. The reef offers an enormous range of marine life, including a variety of fish species, sharks, and large coral formations in vivid colors. Oceanic whitetip sharks, known for their long white-tipped dorsal fins, are often spotted in this location. In addition, hammerhead and gray reef sharks are part of the rich life at Elphinstone Reef. Experienced divers can enjoy drift diving due to the strong currents, but caution should be exercised. With its stunning coral formations and fascinating marine life, Elphinstone Reef is a must for mindful and skilled divers seeking an exciting underwater experience.

To remember the day, you can purchase underwater photos and videos from our cameraman after the excursion.
