Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas)
The turtle can reach a length of 60 to 140 cm, with a maximum weight of 185 kg. Adult females are larger than males. This species of turtle lives for 40 to 50 years and reaches sexual maturity at 10 to 15 years old. The Green Sea Turtle usually lives as a solitary animal, except during the time of egg laying. Green Sea Turtle hatchlings are carnivores, while adult turtles primarily feed on vegetation.
