Abu Dabbab is located approximately 25km south of Porto Ghalib and is a national park famous for its giant turtles. We reach the beach with an air-conditioned minibus.
The colorful house reef of Abu Dabbab Bay offers opportunities to discover various different species of fish. The middle of the bay is covered in seagrass, where giant turtles can be observed feeding and relaxing, leaving our guests amazed.
The beach is equipped with lounges, bathrooms, showers, a bazaar, as well as a cafe and restaurant, and is perfecct for relaxation and leisure time. Our return journey begins at approximately 1 pm.
The turtle can reach a length of 60 to 140 cm, with a maximum weight of 185 kg. Adult females are larger than males. This species of turtle lives for 40 to 50 years and reaches sexual maturity at 10 to 15 years old. The Green Sea Turtle usually lives as a solitary animal, except during the time of egg laying. Green Sea Turtle hatchlings are carnivores, while adult turtles primarily feed on vegetation.
